VOLTE / VILTE (True 4G Dual Volte Smartphones)

Hello friends today I will write about the technology of Dual Volte Smartphone, and the mobiles which are available in Indian market and there specification and they are really true Dual Volte Smartphone or not.

Volte (Voice over LTE) and Vilte (Video over LTE) here you can understand the true meaning of this. Now When we do a voice call in Volte phone it will use the internet data to connect the call and if the person whom you calling is also in a Volte network than you will find that the calling is HD call, means you can heard the sound of other person in crystal clear, and you also find when you call, call will connect immediately and no disturbance is found and call dropping is rare on this technology. Vilte is also a calling technology but here we use Video instead of voice in 4G network, we use video calling in Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Google Duo and lot of many more apps are have this feature, but if your phone support Video calling feature on the calling dial pad than you can video call directly to other person, if other person also having a phone with Vilte feature phone. Now you say it’s a video call how is different video call from Whatsapp or duo, ok suppose you don’t on your mobile data or wifi data, so now you can do a video call form Apps? No! You can’t but in Vilte without on the any data on we just do a video call from direct mobile calling dial pad, this is the main difference.

Ok we know about Volte and Vilte, now we also know that in Volte and Vilte calls use data to connect, but Volte uses less data than Vilte, and it will not consumed from consumer data (till I know with Jio).  Now about the phones having Volte and Vilte feature, not every Volte phone have Vilte feature, it depends on manufacture and the mobile OS, but now days almost every manufacture giving both features.

Now before a decade we use single SIM with 2G network than double SIM with 2G, and than 3G and double 3G SIM come, after some time 4G also called LTE came and now Volte. Volte changed the market after Jio came to the light, now every phone with Volte you will find. Now the user need Dual Volte phones, every Telecom Company upgrading with Volte network and if a person using with a phone which have Volte phone but working only with one SIM at a time will be drawback for user to gain extra freebie giving from Network providers.

In Mobile market or industry there are lot of Dual 4G with Volte phones, but they are not true Dual Volte or 4G phone, because when we using first SIM with Volte than second SIM automatically downgrade to 3G or 2G network. But now we have some good phone with dual Volte feature. First the Mediatek a Processor manufacturing company came with the feature of Dual Volte in their Helio P23 SOC (System on a Chip) after that other company also make this feature on their SOC. In my knowledge the Snapdragon 636 and 660 and high end SOC’s have the dual Volte Feature.

As I write above that Helio P 23 is the first processor which was introduce with Dual Volte Feature, but despite this phones manufacturing company didn’t on this feature by default on the phones which are using this feature capability processor. But now I have the list of the Dual Volte phones in India which are in my knowledge and they are –

Nokia 7 Plus with Android One – This phone have very good specification with good phone build quality and the specification are Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, Dual Rear Camera 12MP and 13MP and Front Camera is 16 MP, Display is 6” IPS full HD+ with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 in 18:9 ratio and 3800 mAH battery. Although there is no written in there Nokia Website but in May 2018 Android update they will update with this phone with Dual 4G Volte feature, users can buy this phone from Nokia Website or Amazon India with the price of Rs. 25999.

Nokia 6.1 (2018) with Android One – Nokia has re launch this phone with new 2018 version with new specification and they are Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 16MP Rear Camera and 8MP Front Camera, Display is 5.5” IPS Full HD with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and 3000 mAH battery. This phone will also get May 2018 Android update with Dual Volte Feature; user can buy this on Amazon India and Nokia Website with the price of Rs. 16999.

Realme 1 – This phone is Oppo sub-brand for available only online and came with the Helio P60 processor, 6” full HD display in 18:9 ratio, 13MP Rear Camera and 8MP Front Camera, 3410 mAH battery and comes with two variant 3GB RAM with 32GB storage at Rs.8990 and 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at the price of Rs.13990, and user can buy from Amazon India. But I didn’t find anywhere written in there which clarify that this phone have dual Volte support, but reports said this phone processor have the capability of this feature.

Honor View 10 – This phone comes with AI technology with the SOC Huawei Kirin 970, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, dual Rear Camera 16MP and 20MP and Front Camera 13MP, Display 5.99” Full View (18:9 ratio) Full HD+, and 3750 mAH battery with EMUI version 8 based on Android OREO. And the Website of Honor clear mention that this phone has Dual Volte feature and user can buy from Honor India online store and Amazon India at the price of Rs. 29999. I find the proof of Dual Volte and website of honor confirms that an OTA update will add this feature on.

Honor 10 – This phone just newly launched and user can preorder from Flipkart with the price of Rs. 32999 and will release on 23 May 2018, this phone also comes with Huawei Kirin 970 Processor,

6GB RAM and 128GB storage, dual Rear Camera 24MP and 16MP and Front Camera 24MP, 5.84” Full HD+ Display with Notch, and 3400 mAH battery, this phone has very cool Aurora glass design and ultrasonic Fingerprint under glass. Although I can’t find any written proof of Dual Volte, but some mobile reviews and report confirm that it had Dual Volte feature.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 – In this list this phone attracts me a lot because of the price and the SOC of use in this phone, user can buy this phone from Flipkart at the price of Rs. 10999 for 3GB and 32 GB storage variant and Rs.12999 for 4GB and 64GB variant, it comes with Snapdragon 636 Kryo processor, 18:9 ratio 5.99” full HD+ display, 13MP and 5MP dual Rear Camera and 8MP Front Camera, and 5000 mAH battery. And the Asus website confirms of Dual Volte feature.

Xioami Red Mi Note 5 Pro – Chinese version of this phone have the feature of Dual Volte Feature, and some report said might an OTA update come in India for this phone will add this feature on Indian variant too. Although user can buy Chinese variant phone from Chinese website.

Oppo R15 – This phone also support Dual Volte feature but user can’t buy this phone in India, although user can buy from other country.

These are the Dual Volte phone of India and some other phones from different country in my knowledge yet. In last I summarize this that all high end Processor and some other SOC have this technology but manufacturer doesn’t on this feature default, they can might on this feature with an OTA update.
