DTH VS CABLE

Hello friend today I will write about DTH features, or is it good than normal cable TV? Because now days we have lot of company offering DTH service in India, and how they different from normal cable TV, or how cable different form them.

I am mentioning the top DTH Companies write down below –

DD Direct + (now renamed DD Free Dish)

These are the top DTH companies in India, they all have good feature, but more the like same. Now talking about their feature like VOD (video on demand), education channel, dancing channel, games and lot more feature we cannot write all of those. But yes every DTH have different feature, so different type of user can get different feature. But now days we can find every feature in every DTH.

Every company charged for their feature and for channels, but if u wants to see free channel you cannot watch without any subscription, yes you have to pay your DTH Company every month for seeing channel which free to air and other paid channel of your base pack. But here u can find DD Direct it is fee to air DTH, it will charge only for system and for setup only once, after that u can continue watch free to air channel. If your want to see some paid channel in DD Direct you can see, but you have to change CI-Slot of your DD Direct. CI slot is abbreviation of Common Interface; it’s a card we use to watch channels through DTH. It’s all I read of CI-Slot, I didn’t have any proof or any document regarding this.

I used Tata Sky, Dish TV and Videocon DTH, so my view after on using these DTH. When DTH launched their set top box, they have different features but now they all same on every DTH. Like USB connectivity for recording TV programs and watch later, option for watching SD or HD, sound quality Dolby digital and lot more. Some DTH company adding different types of feature or technology like Videocon DTH have radio frequency remote, Airtel have universal remote, Tata Sky have TV app so we can watch channels on mobile too. DTH companies adding ultra HD 4K video technology to their DTH, to see HD and ultra HD 4K you will be charged extra. Airtel launch Internet TV built with WIFI, so user can watch TV and watch online TV series and movies through internet with apps like Netflix, Hotstar and many more. Videocon have Miracast technology for watching all your mobile, tab and laptop data to your TV, it will direct stream to your TV. But those features are in different type of set top box, so you will have to choose what your need is and what you want.

We all know that DTH have a good variety and choice for us, but all feature have different types of subscription, means we have to pay for every channel and feature, and its costly than cable. To enjoy your programs with DTH you have to buy this first and it will give one setup box and remote and a dish, which will mount on your roof and you, can easily watch your programs. There is problem with the dish, if the sky is cloudy and it’s raining or there something ahead of the dish which obstacles for receiving the signal, than u will have some disturbance to watch the TV, or there no signal so you have to wait for clear.

Here Cable TV we can rely on, the cable TV companies have the much stronger network than DTH, it will less costly to DTH. And in my knowledge some places are giving broadband feature with the cable network. So you don’t have to buy broadband separately. Now day’s cable TV also getting new feature like HD, Dolby digital sound and USB for recording. Yes they also have different types of setup box fro every feature. But the main thing is it less costly than DTH. Yes there is some problem too, like cable TV come with wire, so if there is a problem far from your home, problem like the amplifier broke down or the wire is cut, electricity gone in middle somewhere, than the cable not work.

Both DTH and cable have problems and advantage, it’s on you what will you choose. It is all my views, and I write which I know or which I think. So if I am wrong somewhere than comment on that I will try to clear my mistakes, and again sorry for my English writing mistakes. Thank You.
