CNG vs Petrol vs Diesel Engine Car

Hello friends today I am writing on car fuel, which one is good, what are their advantage and disadvantage. I will describe all one by one. First I will describe petrol than diesel and last CNG (Compressed Natural Gas).

PETROL

We all know that petrol cars is a good choice a person who wants performance, smooth rides, less noise and less shaking. Petrol engines have higher BHP (Brake Horse Power) to constant power output, means linear acceleration with no lag and vibration after throttle, and you will get quick response. It differs from diesel engine with having of spark plug in petrol engine. In winter petrol engines are good because they have spark plug, so no starting problem; they not do much noise, from others engines with different fuel.

Petrol engines have more life than other fuel engines, maintenance cost are less than others, smooth drive with petrol engine and cars with petrol engine are less costly from others. Yes petrol engine have good advantage but there are some disadvantage too, like the petrol price are much higher than other fuel, average of car is less than other fuel. But the petrol car eco friendly means it will less harm environment form diesel engines.

Petrol engines have also have a very good or most like advantage that we can add different fuel supply and it will be CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) or LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas), means you can add CNG kit or LPG kit to your car. LPG take less space than CNG, but you have to compromise with your boot space, but the choice of LPG or CNG it will depend on your area, if there any LPG or CNG fuel station too fill your car. With the use of these different fuel supply the power of car will effected like LPG will downgrade your car power at least 10% but CNG will take more, but best part is you will get very good mileage and reduce the damage to the environment.

Diesel

Now talking about diesel engine car, they have good feature like good mileage good torque and fuel is less costly to petrol. The same BHP engine of petrol or diesel the torque you will get higher in diesel engine cause of their fuel injecting technology, higher torque means you will get high power for engine, because of this only small cars hatchback are use petrol, but trucks, loader or bus and all heavy machine use diesel engine because of their power and compression ratio (Now we also see CNG Bus Truck And Loader in City they can run in city but not in hills). But when we get more power we also having noise issue and vibration issue when we drive diesel engine cars.

The disadvantage car with diesel engine are costly than petrol car, and you cannot add other fuel supply like we use in petrol cars. Also the maintenance cost is higher than other, but fuel consumption are less than petrol engines, and diesel engines having some starting problem in winter, and diesel engine have short life than other fuels.

Diesel engines car are likely be used for commercial purpose because of long running all over country with heavy weight and the diesel availability in all over country is good than CNG or LPG. But the diesel engine are not eco friendly, they harm environment and cause more air pollution than other fuels.

CNG

Compressed Natural Gas is good fuel for environment and less harm from other fuels. It produces very good mileage for cars, and the gas is less costly to petrol or diesel. Yes CNG is good but some disadvantage is that car will not start without petrol, after starting with petrol car will automatically switch to CNG. But automatically switching is not in every car, means if the CNG kit fitted by the manufacture companies than you will get this technology; they also have switching automatic fuel off button for you, so you can switch off the button if you want to drive with petrol. But if the car doesn’t have the company fitted CNG kit and you fitted from other vendors or shop for CNG kit fitting, they will fit and add a button to for CNG on or CNG off, car will not automatically switch to other fuel until you press the button.

CNG have noise issue over a period of time, and the spark plug has to replace often, the engines life reduces. But the mileage of the car you will get very good and it’s less costly than petrol or diesel. But the availability of CNG is not good not every city have CNG fuel station.
